Location
Austin, TX, Greater Charlotte, or Greater Raleigh/Durham areas. This position is not relocation eligible, and the candidates must already reside in either area. Extensive travel is expected by air and/or car to support multiple manufacturing facilities and/or terminals within an assigned geographic region.
Responsibilities
The position will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of EHS programs and building a world class safety & health culture supporting multiple assets in an assigned geographic region.
Provides EHS support to company locations.
Assists with site level implementation of environmental programs (air, water, wastewater, storm water, solid and hazardous waste).
Assists facilities with improving hazard recognition of existing or potential EHS hazards; works with the facilities to determine corrective or preventative measures.
Trains facility management and employees regarding EHS responsibilities and requirements.
Helps consolidate and report EHS metrics and goals for regional plants on a regular basis.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Safety or other technical degree preferred. Some college and work experience may be considered.
Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulatory and industry standards and best practices.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and solid analytical/problem solving skills.
Able to travel extensively (air and/or car – up to 75%).
Able to obtain one or more professional certifications including CSP, CHMM, or other health & safety certificates as approved.
