A rapidly expanding petroleum marketing and distribution company has engaged Energy Recruiters to help support their Dealer Territory Sales Team.   There are multiple opportunities across markets including Ohio, Virginia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.  In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and expanding dealer relationships & contributing to annual organic growth goals.  You will support dealer customers and work with support staff to implement, manage, and optimize brand programs, volume requirements and image standards.

Responsibilities

Maintain mutually beneficial relationships with dealers (customers and prospects) through phone calls, emails & personal visits.

Engage with and foster relationships with stakeholder departments supporting sales initiatives (e.g., logistics/transportation, supply, credit, etc.)

Execute your role in an assigned territory to achieve:

  • 100% renewal of expiring contracts.
  • Conversion of uncontracted customers to contracted customers.
  • Annual organic growth expectations – 8 new sites, 3MM new gallons, and $75,000 increase in Gross Profit

Understand the economics & gross profit of a deal, for each individual dealer (consignment, commission and by the load), and work with sales support on pricing.

Secure and present, externally and internally, necessary documents to secure new business through brand offers, using approved economic models, quotes to support investment levels (if applicable), credit documents, brand proposals, WSA’s, and customer set ups through approved processes.

Arrange and organize the first load of fuel, especially branded supply, to any new customer.

Follow up with customers, at least annually, on their contract compliance. 

Work with Project Manager to schedule, complete and reconcile all projects in assigned book of business.

Engage with respective/assigned support personnel weekly to review & assess any specific account needs, obstacles, or opportunities.

Understand all current & new industry related technology requirements.

Attend brand and industry meetings

Sales training/continuing education

Maintain sales pipeline through CRM, execute special projects as outlined by management, and regularly deliver effective communication internally and externally.

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or related industry job experience

Retail dealer sales experience highly desired

Expert negotiation skills

Relocation possible

Extensive travel including overnights
