Energy Recruiters has partnered with a leading petroleum marketer in the Southeast to support their search for an NGL Trader

 

Compensation

Base Salary plus Bonus, 401K, and Comprehensive Benefits Package

Southeast

 

Responsibilities

Develop and implement trading strategies focused on the U.S. gas markets, utilizing fundamental and technical analysis to identify opportunities.

Demonstrate a proven track record of trading in the gas market, showcasing your ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.

Conduct in-depth analysis of supply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, and market fundamentals to inform trading decisions.

Responsible for the daily reporting around commodity risk including comprehensive reporting around mark-to-market book values, position reporting, shift analysis and general risk troubleshooting for the natural gas business unit.

Daily review, approval, distribution, reconciliation, and maintenance of all commodity contracts.

Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate exposure and ensure adherence to company risk parameters.

Execute nomination and scheduling activities to move supply when applicable.

Develop regional supply expertise to include utility tariffs, balancing restrictions, regional constraints, etc.

Proactively initiate competitive bid situations for new supply contracts based on market opportunities.

Participate in new customer/prospect activities including Request for Proposal (RFP) responses.

Proactively monitor all activities and issues related to the customer.

Build and maintain relationships with counterparties, brokers, and industry contacts to facilitate trading activities and stay updated on market developments.

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field.

Proven track record of trading in the gas industry, demonstrating an ability to generate consistent profits.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis and market modeling.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Must have strong analytical skills, the ability to grasp new concepts, and be detailed oriented.
