Energy Recruiters has partnered with an independent US refiner to support their search for a Senior Analyst for their rail operations group. This position will play a pivotal role for the company supporting the rail operations team and acting as a liaison to the customer care and accounting groups.

Responsibilities
Manage and monitor detention, demurrage, and accessorial charges.
Monitor, maintain, and manage customer accounts for detention billing.
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to resolve past due detention revenue and assist with collections.
Provide recommendations to contracts and/or pricing mechanism regarding opportunities to decrease demurrage costs and increase detention revenue.
Review and pass for payment vendor invoices transloading and thruput, railcar storage, demurrage, detention, inspection fees, and other miscellaneous invoices.
Coordinate Month-end accruals with the accounting department.
Analyze and assist in rail cost analysis.
Assist in contract management for terminal, freight transportation, storage, and rail car lease agreements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Business
5 plus years’ experience in oil & gas or chemical industry with direct experience with railcars/rail metrics (demurrage, detention, storage, transloading invoicing, inspection fees, etc.).
5 plus years in a role with proven problem-solving skills - proven strong analytical, accounting, and problem-solving skills to accurately interpret data; must have basic accounting knowledge and prior experience in billing/invoicing highly preferred.
Highly Proficient with Microsoft Excel is a must
Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to travel - 15%
